THE MAIN PILGRAMAGE TO SKALKA /July 17/
Main pilgrimage takes place on the 17th day of July each year, the day of St. Andrew and Baňadik.
Typically, there are about 15 thousand believers from Slovakia and the neighbouring countries (Czech Republic, Poland, ..) coming to this event.

Nová Skalka – Merciful Church of St. Andrew-Svorad and Baňadik
Saturday, July 16 – Festival of St. Andrew-Svorad and Beňadik
17:00 - Confessions
19:00 – Holy Mass, celebrated by Mons. Peter Paliatka, priest from Dolná Tižina
20:00 – 1. part of the youth programme
21:00 – Via Dolorosa
22:00:00 – 2. part of the youth programme
(featuring a youth music group BETSABE)
23:00 – Holly Mass (new ordained priests of the Nitra diocese pronounce the new priesthood blessing)
01:00 – all-year-long adoration led by families and prayer groups
Sunday, July 17
06:00 – Holy Mass, celebrated by Stanislav Strapko, local priest
08:00 – Polish-Slovak Holly Mass
10:30 – Holy Mass of Dedication, celebrated by P. Bronislav Ignác Kramár,
O. pream, the Želivský Abbot, Czech Republic.
Following the Mass, there will be adoration of the remains of St. Andrew-Svorad and Beňadik
and a farewell to the pilgrims.
